Test 21: Escalator usage

Test 21: Escalator usage

PENDING

1. Definition

Two floors 3 m apart are joined by an escalator 2 m wide with a diagonal of 4.24 m at 45 degrees. In Scenario 1 one occupant (no pre-evacuation time, initial speed 1 m/s) rides down from the upper to the lower floor. In Scenario 2 one occupant rides up. The tester sets a modified speed on the escalator that differs from 1 m/s. The tester reports whether occupants can walk on a moving escalator and whether the model handles walkers and riders and side preference.

2. Scenario

Scenario picture not available.

3. What to expect

The occupant’s final speed on the escalator accounts for the speed of the escalator. ISO calls the test a quantitative check of the speeds in both directions.

Our criterion: Not implemented

ISO 20414 Table 20 lists this test; there is no test for it in this suite.

4. Our result

Status: PENDING

No measured values: this test is not covered yet.

5. Our implementation

Deviations from the standard:

  • Not implemented: there is no test for it in this suite. JuPedSim has no escalator component.

Model: not available in this run

  • No test function for this row.
