IMO 12: Flow-density relation
PENDING1. Definition
The software is tested on a corridor without obstructions. The test must demonstrate that the flow of persons in the corridor is generally smaller at very high population densities than at moderate densities.

2. Scenario
Scenario picture not available.
3. What to expect
Flow at very high density is smaller than flow at moderate density. IMO gives no density values and no numeric limits. The standard does not say how “very high” and “moderate” are defined.
Our criterion: Not implemented
IMO MSC.1/Circ.1533 Annex 3 lists this test; there is no test for it in this suite.
4. Our result
Status: PENDING
No measured values: this test is not covered yet.
5. Our implementation
Deviations from the standard:
- Not implemented: the suite has no test for this row.
- The ring runs of IMO 11 and RiMEA 16 measure speed against 1D density, not flow in a straight corridor. The IMO 11 run uses one agent count (about 0.37 agents per metre) and cannot show the decrease at high density. The RiMEA 16 sweep covers 1D densities of about 0.2 to 1.7 per metre and is not evaluated as flow.
Model: not available in this run
- No test function for this row.
6. Our notebook
No notebook for this test yet.
